FCB Joburg cashes in with 16 Midas Awards in New York

FCB Joburg has cashed in with 16 Midas Awards for the World's Best Financial Advertising, including one Gold and 11 Silver Ingots. The agency entered just four campaigns, all for its client Absa, and was rewarded with Ingots across 13 categories, demonstrating the depth and breadth of its knowledge and skills, as well as its attention to detail. The Swiish music video, an important element in a campaign promoting the ease and security of Absa’s credit card facilities, was highly lauded receiving a Gold Ingot in the Retail Category and four Silver Ingots in the Non-Broadcast Video, TV/Cinema and Music – Original Content or Integration categories while the radio spots for the campaign took Silver in the Radio category.
#Africanacity, the campaign created to support Absa’s launch of its new positioning and corporate identity, received four Silver Ingots in the Social Media, Editing, Online and Sound Design/Effects categories, and a Certificate in the TV/Cinema category. Taking three Silver Ingots and one Certificate in the Humour, Low-budget (<$100,000USD), Social Media and Banks Commercial categories respectively was the Absa Law For You social media campaign while, Absa’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month received a Silver Ingot in the PR category and a Certificate in the Social Media category.
